Ford Bursary Eligibility

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

South African citizen,
Studying in one of the aforementioned fields of study (final year),
Achieved strong academic results.

You will be required to work one year for each year of your studies for the company. Full time bursaries are only given once a year and in relation to the companies employment need. Full time candidates will be viewed as impending employees but that might change after the bursary term has been completed depending on the need of the company by that time.

Spoornet Bursary Requirements

The candidate will be required to work one year for every one year of study and if they fail they must repeat it at their own cost. If the candidate fails to complete and honor the agreement the bursary will then become payable according to the terms of agreement. If the candidate performs satisfactory every year, the bursary will be renewed for the next year.

Undergraduates Bursaries for 2017

Bursaries will only be granted to full-time students registered in the following fields of study:

Bursary Application Requirements for 2017

GIBB Bursaries Available

Cost of tuition at any university in South Africa

Students must be South African citizens with a valid ID Book / Card.
Students must be studying towards an Engineering Degree, Honours or Masters, with specialisation in the following disciplines: Civil, Electrical, Rail and Roads.
Students must have successfully completed their 1st year of study.
For students in University 2nd, 3rd year, Honours or Masters, studying in one of the fields mentioned above need to maintain a 60% average to apply.

GIBB Bursaries Contract Obligation

Employment at any GIBB office in South Africa
Practical training, as required by the university, will be provided where possible during winter and/or summer vacations.
The tenure of the bursary is subject to good academic progress. Should a bursary holder’s academic results fall below an average of 60%, the continuance of the bursary may be reviewed.
The closing date for bursaries is the 31 August 2016.

The Standard Bank Learnerships programme is a learnership programme targeted at an entry level role within the Corporate & Investment Banking Operations area in the Bank. Code/Reference: SBL201605

Candidates are given an opportunity to work towards a formal qualification in Banking as well as apply the necessary practical aspects of their learning.
